Magnolia365 eCards is a free service for sending greeting cards by email. This page explains, in plain terms, what we do with your information.
When you send a card, we store your name and email address, your message, the card, music and delivery date you chose, and your recipient's name and email address. We also keep a record of when the card was sent and whether it has been opened. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep what you send so we can reply.
We know a card has been opened because the recipient clicks a link to view it on our site. We do not put hidden tracking images in our emails.
We use Google Analytics for general visitor statistics – how many people visit and which cards are popular, not who you are. To stop the site being used for bulk unwanted mail, we limit how many cards can be sent from one place per day, and we do this without keeping your IP address: we store a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the original, and delete it after seven days.
There are no accounts and no payments here, so we never hold passwords or card details.
When you send a card you are giving us someone else's email address. We use it only to deliver that card and, if you asked for it, to tell you when it was opened. We never add recipients to a mailing list or send them anything else.
Only the services that make the site work: Brevo delivers the emails, Google Analytics receives usage data, and Cloudflare sits in front of the site to keep it fast and secure. We do not sell, rent or trade anyone's information.
The site sets two Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_7609MC7V4J) to avoid counting repeat visits twice. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. You can block them in your browser and the site will work normally.
Cards and their send records are deleted automatically 90 days after they are sent, whether or not they were opened. The scrambled value used for spam prevention is deleted after seven days, and contact-form messages are kept only as long as we need them to reply.
You can also ask us to delete something sooner. Just contact us with the email address involved and we will take care of it. This applies to recipients too – if you were sent a card you did not want, ask us and we will remove the record.
This site is for general audiences and is not aimed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
